Noberne Doors, based in Leeds West Yorkshire are one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of bespoke, high quality fire, acoustic, external thermal rated, bullet resistant and x-ray doors. Established in 1975, they are a family owned bespoke door and door set manufacturer. As a founder member of the BM TRADA Q-Mark fire door scheme and the Association of Specialist Door Manufacturers (ASDMA) Noberne needed a professional website which really mirrored their part in the wider specialist door landscape.
Ascensor had built an Ecommerce website for sister company Noberne Seals, in 2014. We were approached to review the brief for the Noberne Doors website and our pitch was successful. One of the key requirements was to build a site that demonstrates the products are BIM ready, the government standard that manufacturers of building products must adhere to.
The Website Style
The bespoke website has a lifestyle product catalogue style; this allows seamless product identification and navigation between the catalogue, case studies and news stories. To make the user journey as simple as possible we sectioned out the different doors available into different tabs and within each page we ensured the content had a standard layout. All products feature detailed information including BIM references, capabilities against the elements and how long tests were carried out for in order for potential clients to quickly identify which products most suited to them.
We will continue to assist the Noberne group with additional marketing support including social media training and other digital marketing activities.
