Since their formation in 2011, Diversity Products has developed and launched three brands across three markets which, as their name would suggest, are extremely diverse.

In that time they have solved many problems through new products and ideas, but then they were faced with a problem of their own: how do they create a different look and feel for each of the company’s brands, yet still keep them under the Diversity corporate umbrella? Luckily for them, Ascensor had the solution... 

Design & Usability  

With visitors coming to the website from a wide variety of sectors, it was vital that the home page had a clear interface to ensure users were able to easily access further information on the website. We, therefore, designed it in a way that captivates the visitor and consequently encourages them to delve deeper into the site to find the brand and product to suit their individual needs. This was both in terms of a silo menu structure (where they can hover to find sub-sections) and the use of promotional sliders that immediately take the visitor to where they want to go.  

To take this a step further, we made the user experience even more intuitive by implementing a cookie-based navigational system to personalise the browsing experience for each user depending on the habits of their previous visit.  We also developed a number of page-turner brochures for the different brands so that Diversity could showcase their brands online with a click of a mouse or swipe of a finger.

Future Proof

The brief included the business objective to generate further new product innovations in the future, again in different markets, so a key criterion for the project was to make the website scalable to account for future product additions and new brands. As well as making the website easily content manageable, we also designed it in a way that the client can easily add new brands and products – so as the business grows, the website grows with it.

 

What’s Next?

Since the website went live we have integrated a Design Planning Suite for the ‘Endurance’ range, enabling customers to mix and match surface and frame colours. This is a particularly valuable tool for architects, allowing them to create their own bespoke outdoor furniture to coordinate and contrast with other aspects of their outdoor drinking and dining design schemes.   

Having already seen the potential that a new, state of the art website can bring, Diversity are keen to take advantage of Ascensor’s online marketing services to drive even more quality traffic to the site and improve their organic search rankings, while also engaging with their customer base using email marketing automation.
