As well as providing complimentary web services to local charities we like to take part in challenges to raise funds for charities directly as part of our CSR contribution.
This year Ascensor’s MD Andrew Firth is taking part in Race The Sun – a team based challenge in the Lake District. Andrew joins one of our clients Cattles PLC in a team of 4, and we are looking to raise £2,000 for Action Medical Research, a children's charity dedicated to improving the health of babies and children in the UK.
The challenge takes place on the 1st of September 2012 and involves a 22 mile cycle, followed by a 2,500ft assent up Helvelyn, a 2 mile canoe across Thirlmere and finishing with a 26 mile cycle back to base – all before the sun goes down.
