We had a great time down at The Great British Business Show last week, our last exhibition of the year.

The two day event held at Olympia had an impressive turnout. We managed to catch up with some familiar faces but we also made lots of new contacts and discussed some interesting opportunities with a range of established businesses and people looking to start their own new business venture.

The Ascensor stand looked excellent, occupying a really good location near the main entrance of Olympia’s Great Hall. Six members of the Ascensor team across creative, sales and marketing were at hand to meet delegates and talk about Ascensor, our range of services and some recent projects as well as take entries for our popular prize draw competition to win 3 months of SEO - the winner will be announced shortly!

Also at the event Ascensor’s MD, Andrew Firth delivered two seminars entitled Going Local: Getting Ahead on Google Places. The informative seminars explained the features of Google+ Local and encouraged business owners to set-up and/or ensure their page is optimised, clearly explaining the benefits of this free resource. Attendance at each seminar was great, with all seats occupied and delegates standing at the back and some even sitting on the floor at the front to not miss out!

This year has been a busy one for Ascensor after exhibiting at many events in both Yorkshire and London. We’re already looking forward to next year’s events and we’ll keep you posted with all the details of next year’s calendar throughout 2013.
