2022 has certainly started with a bang.
Our year is already off to an incredibly busy start, but we’ve taken a minute to pause and reflect on everything we achieved in 2021 – and what a 12 months we had!
Take a look at just a few of the things we achieved in 2021...
⭐️ Winners at Northern Digital Awards
We won BIG at the Northern Digital Awards, picking up ‘Best Large Digital Agency of the Year 2021’. It was a very proud moment for us to be rewarded for our hard work – especially during the pandemic and lockdowns of 2020.
⭐️ Completed Race the Sun for Action Medical Research
Twelve of our brave (and slightly crazy) team took on the gruelling Race the Sun triathlon in the Brecon Beacons in June. We managed to raise over £6,000 for Action Medical Research whilst completing a tough bike ride, canoe and hike up some of Wales’s toughest mountains.
⭐️ Became Google partners
This accolade was awarded to us thanks to our talented team of Google strategists. The Partner tag highlights our outstanding optimisation score; ad spend on campaigns and recognises our skilled team who are Google-certified.
⭐️ Made two acquisitions
We welcomed Green Gecko and Blue Mantis to the team and integrated their staff into the Ascensor family. The acquisitions also brought a number of excellent clients with them, including JCT600 VLS and DeliFresh.
⭐️ Winners at Prolific North
We claimed our second award of the year in September, as the team went to the Prolific North Champions Awards and won Highly Commended in the ‘Small Budget B2C Campaign of the Year’ category for our work with Raithwaite Sandsend. This was another enormous win for us, showcasing our incredible hard work throughout the year.
⭐️ Revealed as headline sponsor at Yorkshire Blogger Awards 2021
The first-ever Yorkshire Blogger Awards were a huge success and we had loads of fun as the headline sponsor. We can’t wait for Yorkshire Blogger Awards 2022 in September!
⭐️ Opened our event space for hire!
Since opening up our event space for hire we’ve already bookings ranging from networking and leadership courses to training. We’ve already hosted a full day course so far this month, and we’re excited to continue throughout the year.
⭐️ Passed our ISO27001 audit
We passed our ISO27001 audit, confirming that we’re experts in information security and safety when it comes to ensuring our clients’ data is kept secure at all times.
⭐️ Celebrated our 14th year with a fundraiser for WWF
We celebrated our 14th year of business, which is a huge achievement in itself, but paired with our fundraising campaign, we were incredibly happy! As a 14th anniversary gift is traditionally signified with ivory, we launched our ‘Adopt an Elephant’ campaign to help raise much-needed funds for the WWF. As a result, we raised over £700 to help protecting elephants from poaching and damage to their environment.
⭐️ Restructured our organisation to help us smash our OKRs
At the end of 2021 we reorganised to help support our growth as we continue to expand. With 12 new colleagues in 2021, we required a restructure to keep our departments working efficiently to deliver valuable work to our clients. We’re excited to see how this has a positive impact on our business.
⭐️ We're shortlisted for two more awards at the Northern Digital Awards!
Ending the year on a high, we were announced as finalists for two Northern Digital Awards - ‘Best Digital Marketing Campaign’ for Raithwaite Sandsend and ‘Integrated Agency of the Year’. Being finalists alone is an incredible achievement and we’re so happy for everyone that’s been shortlisted!
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings for our A Team and we’re confident we can absolutely smash our 2022 OKRs.
