We hope you had a very merry Christmas and enjoyed the festive period as much as we have! For this year’s Ascensor Christmas party we worked with Wildgoose Events to set up a team game that involved exploring Leeds City Centre before we congregated for drinks and then a meal.
We finished work around 2pm on the 23rd and headed into Leeds. We were split into 3 teams (The A-Team, Smart-Asc Retail and The Elfies) and downloaded the Wildgoose App, and then the fun began. The challenge involved heading to more than 20 locations in the city centre to answer questions about the architecture and culture that can be found in our amazing city. When we were in the vicinity of the destination the App launched the questions and points were scored for answering them correctly. At all times you could see how the other two teams were doing and it certainly brought out both teamwork and competitive spirit in us all.
The first team back were the A Team, having led for the whole afternoon it seemed their score of 250 points wouldn’t be beaten. Next home (well to The Liquorist…) was The Elfies who had managed some great late scoring, finishing on 255. Finally back to base (there were no points for coming in first!!) was Smart-Asc Retail who also scored the most with 256, but all in all the scores were very close and we all had a cracking afternoon.
We finished the day off with drinks before heading to Jamies Italian for a delicious meal. Most of us called it a day after the food and we all had a great day after such a great year at Ascensor.
We are very much looking forward to 2016 with some great new client wins in December. We have launched almost 100 websites and significant updates in 2015 and have lots of momentum going in to 2016, we can’t wait to get stuck in.
