The Ascensor team have celebrated another year of business success with an innovative wildlife fundraiser.

As part of the festivities marking our 14th anniversary, which is traditionally represented by an ivory gift, we launched an online fundraiser for elephant conservation.

We’re delighted that our charity drive has raised over £700 for the WWF’s Adopt an Elephant campaign, with donations pouring in from clients, team members, family and friends. Anyone who donated £20 was also in with a chance of winning two hospitality tickets for a Leeds United match of their choice in the 2021/22 season.

The lucky ticket winner was announced on November 22 as Amy Newton, who is a huge Leeds United fan, as is her dad, who she'll be taking as her guest to the match! The WWF were then kind enough to offer an extra prize to another of our donators, providing the gift of an elephant adoption. The winner of this bonus prize was Andrew Tomlinson, who is delighted to be adopting one of these amazing creatures.

Our managing director Andrew Firth said: “The ‘Ivory Year’ to mark our anniversary provided us with the opportunity to raise money for the important cause of elephant protection.

“We have enjoyed some great business results so far and were looking for an interesting way to do some good as we enter our 15th year of trading, so the ivory connection made perfect sense.”
