We have grown year on year for over ten years, working with clients of all sizes, from all sectors. We have International clients and clients just down the road, our work has evolved as the digital sector has evolved and customer say we offer great value for money – cutting edge websites that deliver a return on investment, at an affordable price – we’re Yorkshire after all!
The Ascensor digital agency is based on the outskirts of Leeds, near Junction 27 retail-park, we have plenty of free parking on site. You have easy access from Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Bradford. We’ve loads of amenities on our doorstep including high street shops, food outlet’s, restaurants and a cinema, as well as a very nice pub next door. Indoors we’ve got table tennis and loads of break-out space.
We work as a team, we have fun together and we hit deadlines together. We like to stay calm under pressure, we find we get a lot more done that way. There aren’t many situations we haven’t encountered over the last 10 years, problems do arise like they do in any business, and it's how we deal with them that counts. We interview based on values and personality, skills can be taught! We have a monthly Superstar award where we recognise one of our colleagues for something extra-specially cool they did during the month, with a gift card and their mugshot on our wall of fame!
As well as the daily games of ping pong, we have a last Friday of the month fuddle where our nominated ‘Fun Co-ordinator’ dons the silly hat and organises a veritable feast of food and compères a quiz. We have summer and winter parties that generally involve some team building and a slap-up meal in town. We’re regularly organising activities including our Tuesday night running club, outings to the theatre and laser quest type things.
A day in the life
The doors are open on most days by 7.30am and close around 7pm, with the standard day being 8.5 hours. We’re all responsible for managing our own time and encourage flexible working if it helps avoid traffic. First thing we have our HOTS meetings, we’re not really sure what it stands for, but it is a round robin review of the days tasks, for the design and marketing teams. When we are not working we’re generally playing ping pong, out at the retail park or surfing.
