Website Design…

The team at Ascensor worked closely with Pulse Conferences on the development of their new website. As with all our development projects, the site was built using a mobile-first approach. This has become a crucial standard for sites wishing to respond well to and keep ahead of Google’s constantly changing algorithms which, together with their move to a mobile-first index, is showing increasing signs of favouring mobile friendly secure websites!

The simple layout of the website allows visitors to navigate through to internal pages with ease and the headings within the main navigation instigate animated drop-down menus when users hover without clicking. The homepage includes a prominent banner area which utilises a slider showing interchanging images and strong call to action text allowing Pulse Conferences to clearly communicate what their work involves. Of course, the images and text which feature here can all be edited in the administration area of the CMS with no coding knowledge required!

Key Features…

As a global player in the conferences and events space, the new website for Pulse Conferences had to be flexible enough to allow regular content updates showcasing the latest conferences and events the company was involved with the planning. 

Utilising the renowned WordPress content management system enables the client to add details of new conferences and events at any time without it being compulsory to add all the specific details there and then. Pulse Conferences could, for example, add the details of conferences for the next 6 months using only a location and a date and, when more information on the event becomes available (e.g. the agenda, list of speakers etc.), this information could easily be added in retrospectively. 

The site also features strong calls to action towards the footer of all pages, which means that no matter which page a visitor is currently looking at, they are only a few clicks away from being able to reach out and contact Pulse Conferences.
