Bathrooms Direct are one of the UK’s leading retailer of bathrooms, supplying a range of bathroom fittings from the biggest brands. Bathrooms Direct have built up their name as a premier bathroom supplies company in the north.
Trusted by global brands and leading bathroom manufacturers including Villeroy & Boch, Matki, Keuco to name just a few, the firm needed an Ecommerce website that would complement their high-end product mix.
Ascensor has had a long-standing relationship with Bathrooms Direct, providing digital marketing services using Search Engine Optimisation and paid search methods to drive traffic.
We were enjoying some success with our marketing activities however the previous website was an extension of the firm’s ERP system and wasn’t providing the flexibility that was needed to get the best conversion optimisation from our marketing activity.
We introduced Bathrooms Direct to the Digital Enterprise growth vouchers scheme who offered some funding support, allowing us to develop a bespoke Ecommerce website on our own Ascensor Liquid CMS platform.
The website includes full product management with unlimited variants, dispatch and promotions management and is connected to Google Shopping. Immediately after the website went live, we saw an improvement in visibility (as we do with all new coded websites thanks to their page speed) and a result, an increase in orders from the get-go.
Ascensor’s digital marketing team support Bathrooms Direct with new on and off site content, to increase their visibility in the SERPs. We also provide on-site content optimisation to ensure new products are user friendly, and have all the benefits of being fully SEO optimised. As well as targeted Facebook advertising to drive website traffic plus generate sales, and not forgetting Google PPC, which includes Google Adwords and Google Shopping.
In the year following the release of the new ecommerce site, and digital marketing activity, Bathrooms Direct saw record sales and excellent site stats.
As we compare Q2 (April-June) with Q4 (October-December) we can see that:
- There was a huge 97% increase in Revenue
- The Average Order Value grew by 35%
- The amount of Site Users increased by 53%
