Slightly snowy for Spring but last week the Ascensor team were busy at our first exhibition of the year, on Wednesday 20th March we exhibited at Wakefield Business Conference held at the Cedar Court Hotel.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with both new and familiar faces and talk about Ascensor and our services. Our smaller exhibition stand looked great, occupying a prime spot in the middle of the packed conference hall. With WBC falling so near Easter we thought it'd be nice to give away an Easter hamper with giant chocolate bunny and wine! We were excited to pull out a lucky winner on the day and we're sure the hamper will be enjoyed by Karen.
While we were at the conference it was great to catch up with last year's winner of our 3 months of Search Engine Optimisation prize, Wakefield based Copiserv. We worked on ten SEO terms relating to photocopiers in Wakefield and it's great to see Copiserv still benefitting from the work that was carried out.
Wakefield Business Conference is the pinnacle event in Wakefield Business Week which is organised by Hillrich and designed to bring Yorkshire based businesses together. Wakefield Business Week is a week long series of free events and seminars; Ascensor MD Andrew Firth delivered a seminar called Going Local: Getting Ahead on Google Places on Thursday which was well attended and really well received. The aim of the Going Local seminar is to provide small business owners and marketers with simple tools and techniques for creating and optimising a Google+ Local business page.

We'll keep you posted with our upcoming events diary but the next time we are exhibiting will be at the Buy Yorkshire Conference being held in Leeds on 24th and 25th April. In April Ascensor are rebranding so at Buy Yorkshire we'll look a little different but pop by and say hello :)
