2016 so far . . .

We’re now four months into 2016 and it’s been a busy one so far! Our team been up to loads of different activities in and out of work.

Every two months we appoint an office “fun co-ordinator” who organises the monthly fuddle (picnic lunch on the last Friday), so far this year Laura and Jonny have been our fun co-ordinators. We’ve had a regular picnic, a chilli cook off and ordered pizzas. It was their responsibility to organise the out of work activities we do every other month, this year those have been bowling and laser quest. John was most recently picked to be fun co-ordinator, let’s hope he’s up to the challenge!

Most members of the team regularly participate in badminton games on a Friday evening, it’s a great way for us to keep fit, blow off steam and partake in a little healthy competition.

On 17th February we exhibited at the Teesside Business Show in Teeside. It was a great opportunity for the team to showcase skills to a different pool of local businesses. Our Business Development Manager James presented a seminar entitles “How to make money online” which addressed key considerations business owners should take into account when setting up or running and ecommerce business.

Looking forward

Our calendars for the rest of the year are fit to burst. On Saturday 14th May 5 of our team members will be taking part in the Gung-Ho fun run, this takes place on the outskirts of Leeds and is an assault course which will include a foam bath and Europe’s tallest inflatable slide! The Buy Yorkshire business conference will be held on 17th and 18th May at the Royal Armouries in Leeds; this is a great opportunity for our team to meet new people and make valuable business contacts. As we won the Eaton Smith Business of the month award in October we have been entered into the business of the year awards in July. We are also planning on taking the UK team over to visit the Polish team in September to help build cross continental relations.
