WBC 2012: Our Exhibition Experience

Ascensor Web Design went on the road yesterday, exhibiting at the first of Hillrich’s Yorkshire Business Conferences at the Cedar Court hotel in Wakefield.

We turned up with our custom built space-only stand, armed with mini-cupcakes complete with social media branding and our usual smiles and welcomed contacts brand new and existing onto our stand. The exercise was great brand building, we supported our stand with local advertising in the Wakefield Express and I think everyone was pleased with the turn-out. This was the first exhibition in Wakefield and for a first effort, we have to congratulate Danny and his team on putting together a great line-up of speakers, delivering a good variety of local businesses and generally looking after us all.

We are signed up to exhibit at all but one of the 6 shows this year, the only one we have decided not to be at in person clashes with the Great British Business Show in May, but we’ll be back at the Bradford Business Conference in June.

At the WBC we had a prize draw for the winner of 3 months of SEO, we pulled a card from the bowl this morning and the winner was Wakefield based Copiserv. We have spoken to  our lucky winner and have agreed to begin work in May. Each month we will be documenting our progress here on the Ascensor blog and look forward to helping Copiserv achieve some great success online.
