We confidently claim to be digital experts because it's who we are and all we've ever known. Our expertise has come from more than five years of building over two hundred websites and successfully marketing many of them online.

Our track record gives our clients comfort, our expertise gives other agencies confidence in collaboration and our business attitude gives our team a great place to enhance their skills.

We don't try to be something that we're not. We work with other experts in their related fields where our clients require it. We work with photographers, videographers and copywriters to deliver content rich solutions and we work with marketing, PR and advertising agencies to fulfil any other aspects of a project.

Our story

Since 2007 we've established ourselves as a leading provider of web services within Yorkshire.

From our Head Office near Leeds, we have helped many local businesses thrive online. In 2011 we opened our London sales office, allowing us to better service our London clients and grow our presence in the region. We're not just another digital agency. Yes we work like other agencies identifying our clients' goals and presenting the best recommendations but we take a proactive approach to developing your long-term online strategy.

Our sister company is a highly successful ecommerce business that sells gifts and gadgets across multiple platforms, we've developed our own techniques which generate real results for our clients - their ROI is testament to this.

Without the commitment and passion of the Ascensor team. As our business has grown our team has expanded to more than 20 skilled, knowledgeable and above all friendly people.

Andy & Stuart Directors

Ascensor is owned by Andrew Firth and Stuart Holdsworth. Andrew takes care of the day to day management whilst Stuart manages their other business, an internet retail company. The businesses enjoy synergy and shared resources and the everyday experience of operating a customer facing ecommerce company comes in handy.

Client Services

Our Account Managers are your first point of contact. Their role is to advise you through the consultation period and make sure that your website continues to perform for you, it's here great client relationships are built.

Web Design

Our creative team get the exciting job of turning your ideas into stunning designs shaping the look and feel of each new website we produce. Good design takes time, our design process continues until you are completely happy… in fact blown away by the look and feel of your site, we start with the home page then work through all of the internal pages.

Front End Development

Front end development begins when the final designs have been signed off. It's here in the first part of development where the working features of your website are brought to life and responsive websites are coded to adapt to different screen sizes; bridging the gap between design and technology.

Before a project leaves front end everything is tested to ensure consistency across devices, operating systems and browsers.

Back End Development

Our back end developers talk another language PHP to be exact. They work their coding magic to build the more technical aspects of your website - databases, ecommerce processes and complex web applications. Most Ascensor websites are powered by the Ascensor Liquid™ CMS giving you complete control over your website. Before a website goes live final testing is carried out to minimise the likelihood of any live errors… testing, testing, 1 2 3.

Accounts & Admin

Good admin holds the whole process together. Our accounts department ensures liquidity whilst maintaining the excellent relationships we build with our clients. We agree terms with all new clients and enjoy an open dialogue throughout the project to ensure that money doesn't cause any headaches and everyone knows where they stand.

Marketing Department

Our marketing team are split into two, one part to manage our range of digital marketing services for clients and the other part responsible for all Ascensor brand marketing. We like to lead by example and use our digital marketing experience to promote Ascensor; if we can stand out against our competition then we can help you stand out against yours. All our marketing activity includes market research, implementation and detailed reporting.

We have always maintained a strong CSR focus, it's something that's important to everyone at Ascensor and something we are keen to develop further.

We work with many great charities helping them with their website requirements and supporting fundraising campaigns wherever we can.

As our team has grown we've provided many job opportunities to local people. We work with local educational establishments to offer work experience, placements and Graduate opportunities to help encourage the next generation of Designers, Developers and Digital Marketers.
